Inbox
The Inbox at /inbox is your central hub for all visitor messages and platform notifications.
Layout
The Inbox uses a mail-client style three-panel layout:
| Panel | Description |
|---|---|
| Left (Folders) | Your folder tree with indented hierarchy. Click a folder to filter threads |
| Centre (Thread List) | List of message threads with status, sender, subject, and date |
| Right (Conversation) | Full conversation detail with all messages and a reply form |
Filter Tabs
Above the thread list, toggle between:
- All — every thread
- New — unread threads from visitors
- Replied — threads you have responded to
- Archived — threads you have archived
A search bar lets you filter by sender name, email, or subject.
Reading Messages
Click any thread in the centre panel to open the conversation in the right panel. Messages are displayed in chronological order with:
- Sender name and email
- Timestamp
- Message body
Replying
Type your reply in the text area at the bottom of the conversation panel and click Send. Your reply is:
- Saved as an InboxMessage on the thread
- Sent via email to the visitor's email address
- The thread status automatically changes to Replied
Organising Threads
- Move to Folder — select one or more threads and move them to a folder
- Bulk Archive — select multiple threads and archive them at once
- Folders — threads can use the same Folder system used by Links and QR Codes
Platform Messages
Messages sent by platform administrators (announcements, maintenance notices) appear with a megaphone icon and source type platform. These are read-only — you cannot reply to platform messages.
Direct Link
You can navigate directly to a specific thread via /inbox/{id}, which auto-selects that thread in the three-panel layout.
Navigation
The Inbox link appears in the General section of the sidebar navigation for all authenticated users.
