Folders

Folders let you organise your links, QR codes, and link-in-bio pages into a nested hierarchy, making it easy to manage large collections.

Creating a Folder

  1. Go to Folders in the sidebar (under Tags & Folders)
  2. Enter a Name for the folder
  3. Optionally select a Parent Folder to nest it under another folder
  4. Choose a Colour for the folder
  5. Click Create Folder

Folder Hierarchy

Folders support unlimited nesting — you can create folders inside folders to build any structure you need. The folder tree displays all your folders in a collapsible hierarchy.

Examples:

  • Marketing → Social Media → Instagram
  • Clients → Client A → Campaigns
  • Personal → Side Projects

Renaming and Deleting

  • Rename — click the pencil button on any folder to change its name
  • Delete — when you delete a folder, all items (links, QR codes, and pages) inside it are moved to the parent folder (or become unassigned if it was a top-level folder). Child folders are also moved up

Using Folders

On Create Pages

When creating a new link, file link, QR code, or link-in-bio page, you'll see a Folder dropdown selector. Select a folder to organise the item immediately on creation.

On Edit Pages

You can change the folder assignment when editing any link, QR code, or link-in-bio page.

Dashboard Filter

The Dashboard includes a Folder dropdown in the filter bar. Select a folder to show only the links and QR codes in that folder.

API Support

The Links API includes folderId and folderName in link responses. You can set the folderId when creating or updating links via the API.

Tips

  • Use folders for broad categories (e.g., by client, project, or campaign)
  • Use tags for cross-cutting labels (e.g., "urgent", "seasonal")
  • Folders and tags work together — filter by folder on the dashboard, then narrow down by tag
