What is a custom domain in FastLinkIt?

A custom domain (also called a vanity domain or branded URL) is a hostname you own — like links.acme.com — that fronts every short link, bio page, booking, and shop owned by your organization. Visitors see your brand, not flnk.it, in every URL.

Does a custom domain apply to all my short codes?

Yes. The domain is registered at the organization level, so every short link, link-in-bio page, booking planner, fundraising campaign, payment product, and shop owned by any member of your organization automatically resolves under it. You don't need to configure each one individually.

How do I prove I own the domain?

Add a TXT record to your domain's DNS containing a verification token we generate. We check the record automatically when you click Verify. Most DNS providers propagate the change within a couple of minutes.

Which plans include custom domains?

Custom domains are included with the Professional and Unlimited organization plans. They are also always available to platform Admins.

Can I register multiple custom domains?

Yes. Your organization can register as many hostnames as you like — useful when you run multiple brands or want to A/B test domain reputation. Each verified hostname routes traffic to the same shared namespace.

How setup works

Register your hostname

In your organization settings, paste a hostname you own — e.g. links.acme.com. We generate a verification token and the exact DNS records you need.

Add two DNS records

A CNAME pointing your hostname at flnk.it (so traffic reaches us) and a TXT record proving you own the domain.

Click Verify

We check the TXT record. Most DNS providers propagate within a minute or two; once we see the token, the domain flips to Verified.

SSL certificate

Open a quick support ticket to provision a Let's Encrypt certificate for the hostname. Once the cert is live, every short code under that domain serves over HTTPS automatically.

Org-wide by design

Custom domains live at the organization level — not per shop, not per user. Every member of your organization automatically gets coverage. Add a teammate to your org and their short codes start serving through your custom domain immediately. No re-configuration, no per-resource setup.
